1 Treatment of Head Lice

Rub the liquid into the scalp until all the hair and scalp is thoroughly moistened. Leave the hair to dry naturally in a warm but well ventilated room. After 12 hours, or the next day, if preferred, shampoo the hair in the normal way.

Rinse the hair and comb whilst wet to remove dead lice and eggs (nits) using a louse comb.

2 Treatment of Crab (Pubic) lice

Apply Quellada-M liquid to the entire skin surface. Pay particular attention to all hairy areas including beards and mourtaches. Avoid any other areas above the neck. Leave on for at least one hour before washing but preferably Quellada-M liquid should be left on overnight. Wash off in the usual manner.

3 Treatment of Scabies

Apply QueUada-M liquid to the entire skin surface. In adults it may not be necessary to apply above the neck but children under the age of two years should have a thin film of Quellada-M liquid applied to the scalp, face and ears, avoiding the eyes and mouth.

Do not wash off or bathe for 24 hours. If hands or any other parts must be washed during this period, the treatment must be re-applied to those areas immediately.

No special sterilisation of clothing is necessary, ordinary laundering or dry-cleaning with hot-iron pressing are sufficient.

The infestation is cleared by the treatment. However, the itching and rash may persist for up to 7 days. An anti-irritant cream can be applied if necessary.

Family members and close contacts should also be treated simultaneously.

Continued prolonged treatment with this product should be avoided. It should be used not more than once a week and for not more than three consecutive weeks.

Children aged 6 Months and Under, on medical advice only. In the event of deliberate or accidental ingestion seek medical advice immediately.

While hair is still wet, comb with an ordinary comb. A fine-toothed louse comb can then be used to remove the dead lice and eggs.

1. Shake the bottle.

2. Apply sufficient lotion to DRY hair to ensure that no part of the scalp is left uncovered. Work into the hair spreading the lotion evenly from the roots to the tips.

3. Allow the hair to dry naturally (e.g. do not use a hair dryer).

4. All live lice will be killed after a minimum treatment period of 2 hours. However, to ensure all lice eggs are eradicated, the lotion should be left on the hair for a further 8-10 hours.

5. Wash the hair with a normal shampoo.

6. While the hair is still wet, comb with an ordinary comb. A suitable metal tooth nit comb can then be used to remove dead lice and eggs.

Lyclear Dermal Cream is an effective treatment for Scabies and Genital Lice (Crabs). It contains Permethrin 5%, a chemical with a broad range of insecticidal properties.

Lyclear Dermal Cream is a white cream and contains the active ingredient Permethrin (5% w/w). It also contains coconut oil, glyceryl monostearate, macrogol cetyl ether, cetomacrogol 1000, isopropyl myristate, lanolin alcohols/liquid paraffin mixture, butylated hydroxytoluene (E321) glycerol, formaldehyde solution, carbomer, sodium hydroxide and purified water.

How to use Lyclear Dermal Cream

Lyclear Dermal Cream is for external use only.

Avoid contact with the eyes. In the event of eye contamination, rinse with water immediately.

Ensure the skin is clean, dry and cool. Do not take a hot bath immediately before treatment.

The cream rubs easily into the skin. You do not need to keep applying more cream until it can be seen on the surface of the skin.

If the contents of the tube are swallowed by a child, talk to your doctor immediately.

If too much cream is applied, it should be washed off with soap and warm water. If there are any signs of irritation, talk to your doctor.
